Access Inspection Development Ltd (AID) was started in 1998 by Tjebbe Roestenburg. Having spent twenty years as a commercial saturation diver in the oil industry Tjebbe transferred his skills to the "working at height" industry.
Tjebbe is the current Audit Committee Chairman for IRATA and oversees the technical assessments and verifications of existing and prospective company members worldwide.
As Managing Director of AID Tjebbe is supported by a office based commercial and admin team and a skilled training and operational team. With the broad range of knowledge, someone is always on hand to answer your questions whether it be regarding training (both work at height & Irata rope access) equipment supply or operational work at height including rope access.
Originally based in Stafford the company moved to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk where the training centre is now located. The 25 meter training tower is now a prominent landmark in the area. We are constantly reinvesting in our training tower and classroom facilites to make the whole training experience as good as possible for the candidates who train with us ensuring they are trained to "a higher level...". Training on an outdoor tower such as ours gives our candidates a "real" feel for the situations and structures they will encounter on operational jobs, we have had many superb testimonials from candidates saying the rope access training we provide coupled with the nature of the tower has given them the best possible start in the industry.
Initially our customers were primarily offshore organisations however the demand for our skills and experience has taken AID into diverse areas such as communications, the entertainment industry, the emergency services and many others. Basically if you require skilled experienced working at height technicians at any level we can provide the support.
