Duration: 5 days including 1 day independent assessment.

Prerequisites for this course are:
* Candidate shall hold an in date Irata L2 qualification
* He or She will have held a L2 qualification for at least 1 year.
* Have worked at least 1000 hours whilst holding a L2 qualification which have been logged in the Irata log book and signed for by the appropriate authority.
* Should have a level of fitness conducive with the tasks involved
A level 3 Rope Access technician is capable of complete responsibility for work projects involving rope access. However it is important to note that the L3 qualification is that of a rope access safety supervisor. The Level 3 will not be responsible for the actual technical work being carried out.
A level 3:
* Will be able to demonstrate the practical skills of both the L1 and L2 syllabus.
* Should be conversant with relevant working techniques and legislation.
* Will have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques.
* Will be familiar with the Irata guidelines /general requirements and all other relevant Irata procedures.
Course handouts include training notes and copies of the Irata General requirements and the Irata guidelines.
Following successful assessment on completion of the course candidates will receive a cover note of their qualification and within six weeks an Irata certificate and ID card. The Irata log book will be signed by the qualifying assessor on the day of assessment.
Please note the level 3 course syllabus is very demanding, candidates should ensure that their L1& L2 techniques are to standard and that their experience level is of varied tasks involving all aspects of the L1& L2 syllabus.
