Welcome to aid - Rope Access
Rope access is a proven technique of accessing difficult locations on buildings, offshore structures, tunnels, shafts and bridges etc., enabling technicians to carry out inspection, maintenance and construction tasks.
In many cases the use of rope access solves logistical problems and reduces the need for large scaffold teams cutting costs and saving time, bringing shut down systems back on line more quickly. It also provides the ability for fast response to emergency situations.
The industry's governing body internationally is IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association). IRATA sets training standards, issues safety guidelines and is recognised fully by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive).
